Brehm, Elizabeth Mrs. (Marriage - 2 Oct. 1939)
Mrs. Elizabeth Brehm of Medford and Paul J. Mais of Unity were married at the Holy Rosary church at Medford Monday morning at 8:00 o’clock. Rev. Gregory Reuter read the nuptial service. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bever of Rib Lake.
The bride was attired in a grape wine bengaline street-length frock with black accessories and her shoulder bouquet consisted of button chrysanthemums. Mrs. Bever wore a regal blue street length crepe ensemble with brown accessories and wore a shoulder bouquet of button chrysanthemums.
Following the ceremony, a breakfast was served to the bridal party at the home of the bridegroom’s brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Welsch at Colby. Rev. Leo J. Lang of Colby and Mr. and Mrs. Orville Schultz of Unity, son in law and daughter of the bridegroom, were also guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Mais left on a wedding trip to the west coast and other points.
The bride is a graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing of Marshfield and has been employed as a registered nurse and laboratory technician at the Medford Clinic the past ten years. The groom is an insurance salesman. He is a graduate of the Unity, Wis. High school and taught school and farmed before his present occupation.
